i am very interested in buying an early one but do not know much about them other than i think they look fantastic( up until 78 when they changed their look ) i would only be driving it on road so any info would be greatly appreciated in helping me decide ( engine and transmission info too )

The Bronco 1 was produced between 1966 and 1977. The bodies are the same except for some cosmetic differences like side marker lights.
Three body styles were available throughout these years, soft top, hard top, and half cab pick-up. As far as I know there were three 6 cylinder engines offered 170, 200 and 240 cubic inches and 2 v8s 289 and 302.
I know there was a three speed manual column shift trans and a C4 automatic.
