A friend in his 70s married this woman in her late 50s after she had 7 (not several but 7) other marriages. After only 2 yrs. they are divorcing. She wants to sue him for alimoney. She claims she quit her job because he promised to take care of her after they married. He said he never promised her anything though he does admit he didn't object to her quitting. Can she sue him for alimoney on breach of a verbal agreement that she claims they made after she's only been married for 2 years.They live in TN.
