Is there an option to towing a Ford Ranger 4x4 automatic that uses a Switch?

I have heard that there is a Ford option where a switch can be installed which will put the transfer case in neutral, thus allowing towing a Ranger 4x4 automatic behind an RV with all four wheel down. I know of the REMCO drive shaft disconnect device. It would be nice to not have to use that option,
