Is there an easy way to switch between phone and normal use with HFL?

I have paired my cell phone with my 2009 Honda Pilot, but I am now no longer able to do the other normal functions like control the fan speed and change radio stations. When I say "automatic" which would normally control the fan speed, the thing thinks that I am saying a persons name. I'm really wondering if there is a quick way to switch between the two modes without clearing the system memory of my phone or shutting my phone off.
