Is there a website where you can discuss politics without being insulted?

I don't think you will find one. Reason, sanity, and common sense are offensive to a large number of people. Any public forum is bound to be populated by a certain number of those who just can't stand it.
 
Have faith. It not usually this bad. People are frustrated by the site issues.
 
You likely need to go to a place where everyone roughly thinks like you... not sure of a place where there is political debate that isn't full of vitriol anyway... but you could certainly find more intelligent discussion many places, I'm sure... this is basically as "mainstream" as political discussion gets, and clearly lots of people on here aren't college-educated

I actually believe there are more "grown ups" in the government section.

But, I think Y/A is hopeless.
 
Buy a parrot. It will repeat everything you say and you will win every discussion.
 
Probably not. When you discuss politics, you have to have the cojones of steel, and be able to withstand the heat. No one talks politics sedately and quietly.

the only forums where you don't get insulted are those in which everybody already agrees with you.

(they are rather boring)
