Netflix has a really amazing system for recommending movies where it uses all of the ratings for all of the members to determine similarities and recommend movies you might like. The basic idea is that if I look movies A, B, C, and D, and you like movies A, B, and C, then you will probably also like movie D as much as I did.
I'm looking for a web site that has a similar recommendation system, but for books instead of movies.
Amazon.com's system seems to just recommend authors whose books I have already bought, which is useless, because I already know about those authors and don't need Amazon to tell me about them.
