Don't know about XM radio but a friend of mine just turned me on to http://www.slacker.com . Is a dandy site for listening to all kinds of music with not commercials,jabber or skips. Don't have to sign up. Just click and listen.

Another slick thing with Sirius is upgrading to the premium for $3 more a month if you have a good sound system on the computer.
