I have two 2GB DDR2 RAM Cards. When I went to put them in my computer it just beeped and failed to boot. I know this means that the RAM does not work. But is there a way to test the RAM like with a multimeter or a way to fix it. I can't try the RAM tester software because It wont boot and my computer will only support 2GB max

Download mtinst.exe from a different computer. Put that file on either a CD or a floppy, and boot to it. Mtinst.exe is a RAM tester, you boot to it to make it work. Also, try having only 1 stick of RAM in and see if you can boot.

Just put in 1 stick at a time and see if it works. Your computer will work with 1stick.

Then you will know if a stick is broken.
