Is there a way to run iphone apps tethered to a computer screen?

I'm going to guess, No. But Id just like to know.
What I mean is not can I use iPhone apps on the computer, but can I run iPhone apps on my iPhone and, I dunno how, have it connected to the computer and run the app on the big screen while I use the iPhone as a controller? lol
