Is there a way to purchse something to install for an ipod instead of those FM things?

I have a 06 Pontiac G6 that doesnt have the ipod attachment. I dont have a tape player of course and I hate those FM sync things for the radio. Is there anyway to purchase an attachment or do I need to just purchase a new stereo.
