Is there a way to hack or at least improve the vodaphone mobile connect?

so I'm in Romania for a small vacation and my uncle has this vodafone connecting device. From what I found out it runs on the 3G network, and has a limit of about 50MB per month or per day, not sure. It also has a card reader, not an SD card or miniSD, kind of like the card you find in phones, the one that isn't accessible in most American phones and is usually replaced from time to time on unlocked or European phones, I don't know the English word for it but in Romanian its "Cartela". Anyway I was just wondering if there's a way to hack the device or the software (it's called "Vodafone Mobile Connect Lite") so that the limit is taken off or there's a larger limit, I know the company is called Rogers in Canada so I'm guessing the device is kind of like the Rogers mobile stick if there's a way to hack that then I'm guessing it would work for this, please and thank you
