i have at&t and i like it and get coverage pretty much everywhere. the only place i don't get it is when i'm working on the shooting ranges (i'm a medic in the army and a medic is needed at all the ranges, otherwise they are shut down). anyways, is there a way to pay extra for stronger coverage? or does type/brand of the cell phone affect coverage? the reason i ask is because i will be working at these ranges all summer and idk what i'm gonna do without cell phone coverage in case something actually happens....
i know this is a stupid question, but i'm not good when it comes to electronics and stuff like that :p ......

Try turning your phone off and back on when you are really close to the range. Other than there isn't a whole lot you can do. You can't pay for better coverage, it's either there or it isn't.
You can also call at&t and let them know that the coverage in that area is quite low and you get a lot of dropped calls and things in the area, and the tech guys can come take a look, possibly getting a new tower if the complaints warrant one. (This doesn't happen right away, but if at&t isn't aware of the issue, they can't take steps to fix it. )

repeater/signal booster....these are generally permanently installed somewhere, such as your home/office...but you can get one for your car or have one installed at the range maybe?
