MIDI track? I realized that there are hardware options, but it seems like there might be a software option, as well. After all, the software would covert sound waves to digital signatures. In a sense, MIDI would be ultra-low-fidelity recording. I'm sure that software is available to transform specific harmonious patterns and break them up into individual notes. I'm wonder if this can be done real-time. Anyone know of any software that does this?
