I live in the state of Maryland. I purchased a condo 4 years ago. According to the bylaws of the association any unit alterations must have written approval of the board. At the time the board didnt exist and I received approval from the property management to make these changes, such as lighting and flooring changes. 4 years later, now that they have elected a new board, they decide to come after me (and only me, many units have made similar changes without consent). It should be known that any changes I made were made to code and check by MD regulators. Specifically I am curious as to whether or not there is a time limit that board has to take legal action. Any other legal advice regarding my situation is greatly appreciated.
