Is there a speed test for the PS3?

I don't know if a PS3 can slow down, but the day I got my PS3, the installation processes were amazingly fast. Now, the PS3's speed is so slow! Is there a clean up/virus scan that can tell me if something is wrong? I was thinking it was the hard drive, because I downloaded hundreds of demos, but deleted them. Can a hard drive wear out? I have the newest 80gb model.
 
a hard drive cant wear out, but it can get cluttered. delete everything that u dont want to make more space. if u want u can buy a bigger hd to put in to ur ps3. and if it still is running slow then bring it in to whereevr u bought it and tell them whats rong. if the warranty is still valid then they will exchange it for u. and no i dont believe there is a speed test
