I am going snowboarding in a few weeks and also looking to buy a mountain bike this spring. (Can anyone say New Years resolutions to be more active?) Anyways, I am looking for a ski or snowboard helmet that can be stripped down and used as a mountain biking / casual riding helmet in the spring / summer. Obviously it should have some good ventilation, especially for the warmer seasons. I'm a 27 y/o male, so style is somewhat important and live in Southern NJ, so it doesn't get THAT hot or cold. I did look at the Smith Holt Ski Helmet at REI which comes with a convertible pad kit for "skateboarding". I guess I'm wondering are there other models out there with similar features?
Is there a ski or snowboard helmet I can use for biking the rest of the year?
