Is there a scarf that men of muslim culture use to keep their beards neat and tidy?

So the other day I was talking to my boss and she was telling me that she had a muslim friend that would answer all of her questions about their culture and one day she posed the question about how do the men keep their beards so neat. Her friend told her that there is some type of scarf that's used, but my boss couldn't remember the name of it. Does anyone know what it's called?
