Is there a religious reason why many Christians don't sport environmentalism?

Hello. I know there are many christian environmentalists out there. However, as a whole, I've noticed that the more religious someone seems to be, the less likely they will sport environmentalism (my friend commented on this as well). I'm not religious, and was just wondering if there was a reason for this I'm ignorant of, or if were just raving.
Thanks, and just curious.

Probably because we view it as a way for government to inflict more control on people using scare tactics. On the other side of the coin if a environmental threat is valid then Christians will support it.

Didn't the last "global warming" summit get snowed out? We just had the worst winter in fifty years here in Florida. There are many non-religious scientists who totally debunk "global warming". You see us as "cultlike". Maam, we see environmentalist become cultlike also. Believing anything the good government of the united states of america tells you.

The price of gas is 3.00 a gallon and your fav ****head Obama is tellin us to put more air in our ****in tires????
Are you serious?? And you listen to these ****heads like they really care about you???

Mind your own, and I'll mind mine. Good day woman.
