Is there a reason to major in business?

if you want to be a businessman, do you really need to major in business? The way I see it is that businessmen have an inherent talent that allows them to do business. A company won't make a deal with you because you have some major from a prestigious college. And as for knowledge, you gain your business knowledge as you work. You learn what works, and what doesns't.

Is this a reliable assumption?
The ultimate question is, if someone wants to be a businessman, should they major in economics or business, or can they major in something they love? Like, hypothetically, if I love philosophy, can I take it then be a businesman (since there is no practical job for philosophy majors), or should I give up a knowledge I want to learn to be a business major?
