Is there a pontiac firebird expert or owner out there who can help me?

My boyfriend owns a 2000 Pontiac Firebird and he asked (inadvertantly) for fog lamps for Christmas. I am having the hardest time figuring out what I am looking for. I've been to 3 auto stores and all they have are the "replacement" bulbs. He wants the halogen ones but everyone is telling me that those come "stock" on the car...

Question #1. Is this true? Are halogen fog lamps stock on a 2000 firebird?

Question #2. If they actually are stock, (and his are both in working condition) why would he want what he already has?

Question #3. Is there something I'm missing? Do they sell the "blue" halogen bulbs anywhere where I would be able to get them within a day or two? And do I need to know the bulb size? I don't know how to get that without ruining the surprise and asking him.....(he's in MA and I'm in VT so I can't look myself)

As a pontiac owner (or self-proclaimed expert), can you think of anything else that a firebird owner would want or need for his beloved vehicle if I can't find the fog lamps? He already has nice floor mats that he got for Christmas last year, so that's not an option. I can't really spend more than $50-60 on this....and I don't know anything about firebirds...so I'm at a complete loss! Please help!
 
Don't panic.... FedEx ing things is way too expensive and not a good
idea if you wind up in a pinch....

There's a ton of things that will work....don't make deperate last minute decisions here... It will work out........
