Is there a movie or song or book or something like this?

I'm looking for a movie/book/something like that with a scene in it where someone is watching someone they love get married across the street from them. Or a song about something like that. A friend of mine mentioned something about it and now it's driving me crazy until I figure it out...
 
I can't remember if I've ever watched anything like that but it reminds me of the movie Wicker Park. Even though its not the same thing
