My dog has distemper, and the vet said they cant give him cortisone because of that (not sure what the effects would be.) He is red all over and he scratches all day long. He is scratching his paw so much that he is starting to limp. Any suggestion for alternatives? He is scared of the spray medicines, and i spray on a paper towel, and then put it on him, but it doesn't seem to work.
First the vet said that he is allergic to grains, and we removed that from his diet. He was still itching a lot, so we switched from beef to chicken in his kibble. that didn't work, so we switched from chicken to fish in his kibble.
