Is there a maximum amount of months or times people in the Army can be deployed to Iraq?

Im interested in the National Guard and was just wondering, if I go to the Guard, What would be the average amount of time that i would be deployed? Also, i know that Guard pays for 100% of your school fees. Is there up to a certain amount that they will pay?
i was also curious about Rank in the National Guard. I spoke to an Air Force recruiter and he explained the ranking system to me. Hows the system with the army Guard??
To those who asked why i spoke to an Air Force recruiter, I initially planned on getting into the Air Force and still want to get into the AIr Force but I only have my GED and i dont have 15 college credits which is the requirement for the AIr Force, Army said they would take me. I think im going to just take the classes for 15 credits and join the air force. Its what i really want to do.

You are confused. You say you want to be Army, but you are talking to the Air Force. Second Deployments are a part of the job. Length is determined by DoD and the Guard Bureau, even for individual orders. If you want to go to college, then go. Pay for it yourself. I did.

There's no limit to the amount of months total you can be deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. I served 27 months in Iraq over two deployments. I served with men who had served 40 or 42 months total, over three deployments. Next year a lot of people will start their FOURTH tours of combat. Maybe they'll set a limit at 60 or 70 months, someday... lol.

you are going to deploy, you will go there for a year at a time, they only have to keep you back in the states for 6 months but its longer most of the time, talk to an Army recruiter, not an Air Force one, there completely different, the Air Force is nothing at all like the Army, and i mean NOTHING. the amount of money you get for school depends on the contract you work out with the recruiter, everyone gets different deals, good luck
