...registered owner of their car impoundment? I had a vehicle stored at a friend's place. His son used the car and got pulled over and the vehicle was impounded. That was about 14 days ago, . . and counting. My friend barely told me of this today! Also, I never received any form of notification from the CHP or tow yard that my vehicle had been impounded. There is a 30 day hold on my vehicle because the driver had no license, plus the storage fee for the impounded vehicle is already at $900 and going up $48 a day! Is there a way to get my vehicle out before the 30 day hold, and the storage fee reduced for not notifying me of my vehicle impoundment, thus giving me the chance to get it out before the storage fee got too high? I'd really appreciate the help of any one that that can come up with a solution. Thank you very much.

And after 14 days you never wondered where your car was? Not too smart. Actually the towing company is only required to tell the local police so that they don't put the car on a stolen list. You should have called the cops days ago. This is why I never lend my car out to "friends".
