my attempt to file a claim with a large grocery chain was denied because they said "you knew they were there since you shopped at that store before".
i fell and crushed my elbow which had to be totally reconstructed and i've been out of work since November of 2009. i still cannot use my left hand and arm and may not regain full use.
the store has since painted the car stops yellow (they were the same material and color of the floor when i fell)
i'm going to pursue this but wondered if there was an ordinance governing how they must appear for safety sake, in order to further my case.
