is there a gas crisis in your state?

i live in western north carolina and we are having a gas shortage here; some stations are out of gas and the price has sky rocketed at the others. the news talks like it is just here so my question is : is just western north carolina and if so why?
if we can find it it is running us around $4.78 a gallon but like i said most stations are out of gas.

I haven't noticed any supply problem here in Arizona

No...we pay what everyone else does...roughly 4.00 a gallon

here in california its rounded around $3.50 not that bad
