Is there a fee for deactivating a re-activated phone?

I bought a used Verizon phone from someone, but I re-activated it by accident using *228 on the phone. I later find out that he's part of a family plan, so the line and phone still works on his parents' account, whom are the account holders. Is there a fee for deactivating a re-activated phone?
