I am looking for a testing meter for my aunt that doesn't require you to give a blood sample. I'd appreciate any help.

Sorry as you are measuring the amount of glucose in the blood then you need to get a small amount of blood out of the body to test. It is not painful most of the time to do the pin prick it is thinking that it is going to hurt that causes the most problems. Your aunt will soon get used to the small pricks needed and hardly notice them

Sorry dear that is all our dreams. Unfortunately that is why so many of us don't test our sugar like we should. I have heard it's coming but I haven't heard any more about it. I believe it will be like a swab in our mouth but I'm not sure. It is very costly just for the strips which is how they keep in business. If it is the cost and your aunt is on medicare they have plans to get her medicine, but if it is due to pain then have her squeeze the end of one of her fingers and poke it more to the side instead of directly on the tip or middle of the finger. This helps a lot. Good luck and God Bless you. Sincerely Debbyr
