At the moment we have a Panasonic DECT phone in our house and because it has polyphonic ringtones on it, it drives our two chihuahuas mad.
They start yapping and whining and wont shut up even when you answer the phone so you end up having to shout at the person on the other end to get them to hear you.
As I run my own business from home it's not very professional and have had a few people hang up on me when hearing the two dogs.
We have tried all the different polyphonic ringtones and even tried changing the make of phone and yet still they go mad.
The only thing that doesn't trigger them is the MP3 ringtone on a mobile phone. We have looked everywhere to see if there is any phone out there with an MP3 ringtone option. The only one we can see is a Philips which you have to call them and download it to the phone by SMS message, as we're on Vonage the SMS message system doesn't work through Vonage so that would be useless, unless there is any other way to get an MP3 ringtone into the phone.
Does anyone know of any home phone out there that we could get mp3 ringtones or any suggestion on other phones that don't have polyphonic ringtones.
