Is there a correlation between education and religion?

The smarter you are, the less likely you are to believe in a specific higher power?
Would a logical thinker determine that with lots of differing beliefs it would be ignorant to believe 1 set of ideals is better than any other?

No. Not necessarily. I would be interested in whether you would place atheism or agnosticism in that pile of ideals that is no more believable than anything else. Would you exclude those from that pile of ideals?

Did Deadman really offer India as support for anything? India? He's got to be joking.

No, more education =/= less religion.

The reason it may seam like education = less religion is because most scientists are not very religious, but in truth the fact is people who are less religious are usually drawn more to science because of personal interests.

Yes. All the great thinkers over the centuries were theologians. The age of enlightenment really placed blinders on thinkers so that existence beyond the temporal became superfluous.

Although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools.
Romans 1:21,22
