is there a cheap way to transfer my vinyl albums to CD using my computer and stereo?

i want to keep my vinyl and i need to figure out how to put it on cd's using my stereo and computer as cheaply as possible

Yes there is, i cant give you the link unfortunately because my boyfriend is not around, and he did it with his records lately, i know he had to play them and had a software that converted into an mp3 format and they are all on the pc now, very time consuming. If you search google im sure you will find something, vinyl to mp3 conversion,,
oh and i know it was a freeware software, so no charge!!
