Is there a cheap replacement for Verizon?

Hi, people,

I had Cingular for several years, then ATT.
Coverage was Terrible.
Couldn't make or receive a call from home (in populous Orange County, California).
Now, I've had Verizon for several years, and the Coverage is Terrific.
Very rarely is there a dropped call.
I've gotta' give 'em credit for that.

That's the Good news.
The Bad news is... it's just too durn expensive.

Is there another company out there (a reseller?, a little-known subsidiary?, etc...)
who uses the same towers and technology as Verizon?

I've searched thru these forums...
I found a mention of "PagePlus"...
Generally... not highly regarded.
What other available options are there?

Try InTouch America. Uses Verizon towers. Less $ than Verizon though. Wife and I use their plans for a few yrs. now and have been happy.

I would suggest you look into StraightTalk from TracFone at WalMart. The service here uses Verizon's service. If all you need is talk and text then this is the ticket.
