i don't know why but if i'm ever thinking about weird things this comes to mind and i wondered if it was in a book:

boy likes girl. girl likes boy. boy and girl date. SINGLE parents meet. parents like each other. parents marry. boy and girl siblings. no more kissy kissy.

lol i thought that would be easiest way to explain it.
