than waiting for the new james bond flick to appear on screen.

i wish they were annual events, or at the very least back to the good old days of every other year.

the roger moore ones even had the next film listed at the end of the credits.

i cannot wait for the next daniel craig bond flick, casino was immense, quantum so so... bond 23 should be a corker.

Nah, for me it's Star Wars & Indiana Jones.

No matter how great or crap the actual SW film turned out to be, there has never been a greater cinema thrill for me than the moment the worRAB "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away..." showed up on screen.

Or seeing the Paramount logo mountain turn into something else at the start of every Indiana Jones movie.

Well I am with you. When a new Bond film is out I have to see it as soon as possible. To me it is like the build up to a big football match waiting for the new Bond film to begin. then the gun barrel sequence means the new film has started. Just a shame they have stopped doing that. I hope they start putting that at the start again. I have been a cinemagoer for forty years and a new Bond film has always been a huge event for me.

I concur with the Star Wars opening.

The brilliance of the music and the logo is inestimably compelling.

In more recent times it's been the haunting theme and 'New Line cinema' for the Lord of the Rings movies.

Yes I have seen all of them at the cinema. In the 70's cinemas used to show Bond double bills even though there had only been about 8 films. Live and let Die was often shown with On Her Majestys Secret Service for instance. You would be in the cinema for about four hours! Could you imagine that today? Quantum Of Solace and casino Royale as a double bill?

I remember watching ET on the big screen and everyone was up out of their seats shouting and cheering when they escaped, brilliant memory. Ghostbusters was another one that seemed to enthral everyone, we all strutted out as if we were the ghostbusters :p
