I saw SE P990i has a option how long the set is running from last start from a application called swiss manager. I think this soft and data is very interesting. So in there any way to see the uptime from last time the mobile started in S60 3 rd edition? Pls pls help me out here? by the way how long s60 3 rd edition keep its in, out and missed call list? does it also contain with duration with each number?

In UIQ of my friends he can keep a months log with each and every details of every call. i wanna buy a N73. Be fore this i should figure out these facts.
otherwise i have to go with UIQ which i dont want as it is not stable as S60 3rd edition but i like those feature a lot. so pls help me out.

yes i can keep it for 30 days. but can i do more than that? and what abt that bootup timer? can i have it in S60 3rd edition?

In both S60 2nd and 3rd Edition, the call log contains the date, time, duration and full number of all incoming, outgoing and missed calls. On 2nd Edition, there are also various apps available to help you manage and view this information much easier. As for uptime info, I havent seen this functionality in either 2nd or 3rd edition, but there may be a third-party app that provides this, Im not sure on that.

Hope that helps.

swiss manager is a composite utility for UIQ, there are some utility managers for S60 as well, but to decide to get a phone just because of such utility is something beyond me... but, hey its your decision and its your money...

yes to me its important. as all of my friend like UIQ. i have to prove them i also have this feature. they wanna prove that UIQ is more like computer while S60 3rd edition is more like regular mobile in terms of interface. thats the argue is going between us.

if you want a phone that is more like a PC, then get a Win PDA-phone like jas-jam etc, coz it is a pda 1st before a phone, whereas the S60 line is more of a phone 1st before trying to become a pda... the UIQ is trying to be both at the same time, which in the process totally never got hold of a strong point.... just my .2

Personally I see no reason to get a UIQ-based device over a S60 based device. IMO UIQ has the potential to be a really great interface, bringing together the best of both worlds in terms of phone vs pda functionality.. however at the moment UIQ suffers for a few key reasons. 1. Developer support is a lot less for UIQ than S60, therefore there is a much wider range of apps available for S60 devices and thus more functionality. 2. UIQ devices, much like their S60 counterparts, suffer from small amounts of RAM making multi-tasking pretty much useless, which for a pda I think is quite important these days.
