I'm in the US so... does that change anything? I actually prefer the look of the W810 also.

You said prefering the style of the W800 is your opinion.

Saying the W810 is the same as the W810 except for the style is not opinion it is (incorrect) fact.

Not trying to give you a hard time, just clarifying some missinformation is all.

Yes, it does. In the states you want a phone with 850MHz. It is not absolutely neccessary, but it most definetely does make a big difference.

Also since the W810 has EDGE where the W800 does not, your data speeds (Internet, Email, MMS, etc) will be much faster on the W810.

So I want to buy the unlocked W810i for my prepaid T-Mobile service, I'm certain it will work. Is the $380 price tag worth it?

great fone
but if ur with rogers, it sux cuz the two minus buttons at the top cant be changed.
and mp3 ringtones dont work, u gotta download from rogers or work hard to get ur mp3 ringtones working lol

The case - you know, the physical apperance. Anyhow I think the W800i looks a lot more stlyish than the W810i. I mean, come on, it would stand out more noticably in a crowd wouldn't it? I'm not trying to create a row here, I'm just donating my personal opinion.

As I am in Malaysia, I could get a brand new w810 for only US$294 (RM1075). Why your price so expensive?

Sony Ericsson w810i with Free 512MB memory

What language is that?

You are not in NA, so it wouldn't matter to you, but over here 850MHz makes a big difference.

Other key differences are: EDGE (a Huge deal for me), better screen (always important)

Great phone... esp now that i've reflashed it without the Rogers branding. No mp3 limitations or those silly Rogers defaults. But then you hv to fiddle a bit to get the data settings right or else no web, mms, etc...

But I'm a cheap ba$tard and I can't imagine paying $250CAD (on 3 yr contract) let alone $350USD. Think if I was that desperate to get this phone I'd hv to get one used. It really is a great phone.

Its a good time to get an unlocked one now in the US because Cingular just recently started carrying it. Vendors have to compete with the W810's the service provider are offering, so the're going to lower the price.

Of course I did. What is your point?

I responded to your post where you said the W800 and W810 only really differ in appearance, which of course is untrue.

Are you asking my to respond to your other post too?

Ok, if you want me to: I agree the W800 stands out in a crowd much more. However I think the W810 is more stylish. It really depends on what your opinion of style is.

Overall I much prefer the look of the W810, but without a doubt the W800 does stand out more.

...but especially in North America the W800 does not perform even close to as well as the W810.
