Is the stationary bike good for losing weight?

I would like to pedal on the stationary bike for about half an hour each day. Will this help me lose weight?
I also walk briskly two times a day - 20 minutes each, and I am starting a healthy eating plan. Will I see good results?
Please do not post links to your web site or whatever other copy & pasted marketing gimmick you have, I will flag them.

Just always make sure that your heart rate is elevated when you do exercise.
