Is the recent NBA home team advantage good for the sport?

I know it has been an advantage in the past, but it has been total this year so far. Does this mean that the regular season will start to mean more? I know in the past, losing record teams have made it into the playoffs. Half the league goes right. Unlike baseball, where 8 teams go, and traditionally has had a more important regular season.
Or does it mean there is just more parity in the NBA?
 
bad. for people like me who want to see some upsets like the cavs over the celtics, I feel like there is no hope since no one can beat the celtics at home and they play more home games than road games. there would be more excitement if some teams won on the road.
