change in dreams? If my alarm goes off when I'm in the middle of a dream, and I hit the snooze giving me another 5 minutes, that 5 minutes of time in the real world seems like hours in the dream world, as if too many events have occurred in the dream world to have only been within the space of 5 minutes.
It seems to me that even in the dream world our perception of time is based on perceivable change, whether the changes be real or imagined.
If this is true, then how can time be an actual objective property of the universe, independent of human perception? If time is an objective property, then why isn't the flow of time the same in my dreams, irrespective of the changes I imagine?
And if time isn't a objective reality, then why in the real world, I never get fooled into believing that hours have gone by in the space of minutes just because of change (because more events took place in the space of a few minutes than usual)?
