I just think that putting some emphasis on the issue might actually make the problem worse on people's self-esteem instead of improving it. What do you think?
I would like to add the fact that some people find obese people attractive.

I think the country is going overboard with obesity issues. People need to get up and exercise. If anything the media is trying to present ideas to help fat people lose weight.

I don't think so. It's deadly and it can make people's lives miserable, the people themselves and the people who have to look at them. I would think a diet regimen would make their self-esteem improve because they would start losing weight and feeling better.

I think that the Dove campaign for real beauty is very clever in creating self-esteem for women and young girls, however I find it ridiculous that pretty much every single overweight celebrity has to explain why they are like that to everyone in some sort of article like "I like the way I look", or "I like being fat".

I think that the media goes overboard with ALL issues. I also think that they are fueling the fire that will kill us all.

I never understood why there is so much hate toward the obese anyway. If you are confident with yourself, then you should have no issue with how other people look.
