There is always going to a polarization when it comes to this question. Conservatives think the media is too wild, while liberals think it's repressed. Honestly, it's a bit of both-I am a very liberal person, but more often than not I'm clicking channels and having to awkwardly explain things that are shown on t.v. to my little sisters-It's not that I think certain subject matters are taboo, but I don't want the 'tube teaching my little sisters things they should learn in life or through me or my parents. It's fine to see it in the media after you're mature enough to handle it. But on the other hand, at times I laugh so hard at how they try to make everything all "AMERICAN! CHRISTIAN! PATRIOTIC! YEAH!" I feel like an idiot being fed propaganda, like I can't handle real life or a different point of view (I.E the media circus over then Presidential candidate Obama's Muslim sounding name-It's a free country! We can have people of different religious backgrounds running it, and we honestly should.). In the end, It really depends on the channel, (I am more of a Current TV person than a Fox Newschannel) and what the climate of the era is. Business is business and money is money after all, no matter the politics of it.

You wanted change, well maybe next time when the government isn't so corrupt. End the Federal Reserve, Free Health care, Alternative Energy that we really use, maybe real news that isn't propaganda, and maybe a fair presidential election. I quit watching the news a month ago, it's too depressing and full of lies, hopefully the fed will get audited, Pellosi will get explosive diarreah, 911 will be reinvestigated, and Oreily, Hannity, and Nancy Grace will get trapped in a well together.

They weren't too liberal in the run up to the invasion of Iraq, they were cheerleaders jumping up and down with their pom poms.

I do not know why this is but yes, 90% of the mainstream media exposure this country gets is slanted left or liberal. One of the more conservative avenues of the media is talk radio and the democrats are going to pass the "Fairness Doctrine" that will make it illegal for radio hosts to give their opinion on a subject without having someone on air to argue the liberal side of the argument. I guess they feel they can't keep control with 90% of the media so they will try to make it illegal for the other 10% to exist. Wow just thing how much trouble they would have pushing their liberal agenda if the media just gave the information without a bias at all.
