Is the late-model Pontiac Grand Prix (2004-2008) cool for a 16 year old?

I'm looking for a first car and i was thinking about the 2004-2008 Pointiac Grand Prix. It's cheap and looks kinda cool. Would it be cool for a 16 year old guy or is it considered more of a family sedan?

They are really cool if you want to spend your teenage years learning to fix and repair cars.

Pieces of junk. I know 2 people with them - one a 2004 and the other a 2006.
Both awful. One needed a new transmission at 45K miles.

Personally i dislike american cars but if you are into them i would go with a mustang because im guessing you would want to impress the girls and to girls the car looks like a millon bucks not to mention it looks sporty and if you go with the GT model it is pretty fast. also they are not very expensive. im not a fan of the grand prix because the body looks very outdated.

You guys are douchbags, GM makes great cars, Grand Prix's will easily make it past 200K miles. They are very cool cars, but unless you have alot of money for a 16 yr old, you should look for something about 10 years older.
