I'm new to the motorcycle world and this is my number one choice for my first bike. If it helps at all I weigh about 220lbs and am about 6' 2".
I'm also open to other recommendations of bikes of the same category but this is my top choice for my first bike.
I know that this bike is known for being very tall and I know it has one of the largest gas tanks in it's class.
The closest experience I've ever had to riding a motorcycle was being a passenger on a 150cc dual-sport from Pep Boys and riding my mountain bike between 40-50 mph downhill on a really steep hill, as well as even throwing it hard enough into corners where I actually was drifting, believe it or not, other than that, I have no experience riding at all. Would this be a good bike to start out with?
