I live in Calumet, Michigan, and have lived here most of my life. I first heard about the Italian Hall disaster when I was young and it struck me as incredibly tragic.
The Italian Hall disaster was a 1913 Christmas party accident, where "Big" Annie Clement was holding a Christmas party to relieve the kids of all the stress of the mining strike going on. Someone shouted "fire" in a crowded room (when there was no fire) and most everyone tried to escape by the stairwell. There was basically a stampede, and 72 people died. Most of which were children.
This all sounds like a horrific and unnecessary death, also paired with the fact that it was a very large number people who died.
But the thing about this is, this all would seem to point to a haunting of some sort.
Like I said, I've lived here most of my life but never heard of anything paranormal revolving around the Italian Hall, but it seems pretty likely that something "spooky" would happen, considering the circumstances, right?
So, in conclusion... has anyone here heard of any ghosts or other in the remains of the Italian Hall?
