Is the iPhone selling well?

Fixed.

Opening weekend estimates: (Friday @ 6pm to COB on Sunday)
Piper Jaffray estimate 525k
Goldman Sachs estimate 700k

And there has been another analyst estimate of 1 million units so far since launch. (can't remember which analyst, but I think it was Shaw Wu at AmTech)

Basically, all the pussyhurt WMfanbois are just going to have to accept the fact that the iPhone just blew past ALL previous sales records for phone launches. If the Goldman Sachs estimate is close to accurate then this blew past every launch of any consumer electronics device in history.

Said another way, if this were a movie, it would make Transformers opening day take look like a low budget indie film in limited release.

Yeah but they only sold just over half of their expected numbers the first day. One of the first times i can remember that they did not reach their goal.

lol @ idiot thread starter

iphone is selling like a MOTHERFUCKER

hell, 3 different people ive shown mine too ended up buying one the next day, lol

Apple never set a goal....the suggested goal by the public, was 1 Million in the first week. Supposedly they did 700k. Still not bad. It's the fastest selling Apple product in history, and has sold more in the first week...than any other AT&T wireless device has in it's first month.

I bought one....and do I think it's worth the money I paid for it. Not sure yet...probably not. But you know what....it's so damn cool, I don't really care.
