Is The Hurt Locker going to get another run in cinemas?

After its Oscars success, there will probably be renewed interest in the film, but it doesn't seem to be scheduled at most cinemas. Is it going to get another run in the multiplexes?

It's got a few showings in my local Cineworld this week. It'll probably just be for the week.

A few of the BAFTA winners are (An Education, The Young Victoria, Fish Tank, Inglorious BasterRAB, Moon)

If you haven't seen it then i highly recommend the Blu Ray, the picture quality and sound is stunning.

Apparently it only made just over $21 million worldwide at cinemas  I'm pleased to say that i contributed to that gross!

I saw the Hurt Locker yesterday, when checking screenings it seemed to dotted around selected mainly central London Cinemas (not cheap). I'm not a modern war film fan as a rule, but I'm glad I saw it.

Our local cinema never got it in when it was released. Pity, there were a few of my mates looking to go see it as well. Unless it's a kiddie film or in 3D they don't seem to show it... :(

Yes, that's why I thought they might remarket it as an Oscar winner. But if they leave more than a week it'll be too late to cash in. I haven't seen it yet, but would rather see it on a proper screen than at home.

Ahh yes, that's the sad thing I noticed. The lack of choice was suprising. You could go to various versions of Alice in Wonderland or Avatar in the local cinemas. This was why I was forced to see THL at an expensive central London cinema.

Just got back from the cinema showing Hurt Locker. Excellent movie with superb sound and picture quality.

I had read a review that suggested that the first ten minutes was repeated over and over again. This couldn't be further from the truth. Each situation is different and none are repeated.

95% of this film I love, but there is a 5% here that is so utterly ridiculous and unrealistic that it taints the film. I enjoyed it thoroughly as a tense war thriller, but that's it.

I wondered how long it would take the "f*ck the Academy AwarRAB" people to start hating on this film for no reason...

How anyone can call this film "dreadful" is beyond me. I know it's all down to taste, and fair enough if you didn't enjoy the film, but "dreadful"? Come on.

I bet if 'Avatar' had won the Oscar everyone would be saying how "amazing" THL is and how it was "robbed"
