Is the Honda Shadow Spirit 750 a good bike for me?

I thought about getting a CBR 600rr, but insurance would be through the roof. If I get a cruiser type bike, it might not be as much. I have never owned a bike. I am 17 years old, live in southwest Virginia, i'm about 6'2", and 180lbs. Is this a good bike or should I look at something else?
 
Depends on why you are getting a motorcycle. If for transportation, it's a good bike. If it is so you can play road racer, it's not a good bike.
