Is the Ford Taurus online advertisement ethical?

I saw the advertisement at yahoo which compares the Taurus against a bunch of cars like audi and lexus. It's like they are highlighting why Taurus is better than these cars.
As far as i knew, comparative advertisement is not allowed as you are discrediting your competitor.. So is it actually legal, and if it is, do you think its ethical??
 
It is very legal. Its been done for years. Coke and Pepsi have been going after each other forever. Ethical? Not in the literal sense, but on the other hand, when another company is putting your product in the spotlight, its free advertising and the company, say Ford in this case, is acknowledging who their competition is. At times, it can backfire.
