I'm about to turn 16 and i'm looking into getting my first car. I was on Craigslist and the best car i saw within my price range was the explorer. I've heard a lot of good things, but i've also heard a lot of bad things. I'm looking at 1997- 2000 models and i've heard that things break. A lot. And i really don't have the money to get transmittion fixed (my mom has MS and my dads boss is very cheap) so if it breaks i'm out of a car. So is the explorer worth looking into?
I have enough expierience to drive this. I posted this question before and the only answer i got were "Its too big for beginners" and "Try something smaller like a fusion" I don't want a small car. I want to know if the explorer is a good choice not if you think i have enough expierence.
