not including about 5% of the population who keep a level head when the media goes spinning off on an emotional tangent
 
Its usual whoredom but then theyre only serving a majority of tripe reading goggle box tacky drama addicts.
The brits have this illness of gawping into the lives of others.
A clear sign of a vacuum in their own meagre existence.

There must be a shortage of real news. I noticed that our brave solders killed in action got a few seconds of air time compared to this thing.
 
Reporting it. Many Brits were right there with Americans mourning MJ at the memorial here and in England. I think the Brits may have loved and respected him more than Americans did. Why do you care? Is it affecting your life? Just turn off the tube then. Gosh.

Probably instigating it, good observation. Although he was arguably the most famous entertainer the music world has ever seen and probably the most famous man on earth
It was the same with z list nobody Jade Goody, all the medias doing.
 
The media of Britain is very good at "making things happen". Just consider the recent happenings in Iran and I recall when Princess Diana died, they were filming outside some gates and stated that thousands of people were bringing flowers and placing them there in sorrow. There were about ten bouquets there at the time. Two hours later, sure enough, people knew they were there and thousands of people were actually turning up with flowers. Oh the power of the press to manipulate the minds of the masses!
 
there isn't mass mourning in the UK! Most people are unaffected. It is only fans really that are mourning.

But yes, newspapers are creating hype as much as they can, in order to then sell more papers.
